The Jardines de la Reina is the most famous area for diving in Cuba and has been a protected marine park for many years. January is often considered one of the best months to dive into these shark-infested waters, with pristine corals and even crocodiles. Mexico

From late January the Pacific coast of Mexico is an ideal location for humpback whale encounters due to the annual migration between the polar and tropical waters.

Socorro is often called the Galapagos of Mexico, and for a good reason; here you have the giant Pacific manta rays along with ten different shark species, including hammerheads and tigers. Dolphins encounters are also frequent at this time of year.
